Right Management, a subsidiary of ManPower Group, released the results of a survey that showed 65% of individuals were either somewhat or totally unsatisfied with their jobs. Forbes magazine quotes a Mercer study of 30,000 workers worldwide, that showed between 28% and 56% of workers around the globe wanted to leave their jobs.

Job dissatisfaction seems to be endemic to workers worldwide. But, just perhaps, the reason so many are dissatisfied with their jobs has more to do with their own choices and expectations rather than with the job itself.
